Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci, (born November 12th, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej, (currently Onesti] Romania) Romanian gymnast who was the first gymnast to receive a score of a perfect of 10 during an Olympic event. Bela Karalyi was introduced to Comaneci when she was six. Comaneci would go on to become Romania's gymnastics coach. In 1969 she was a participant at the Romanian Junior Olympics and placed 13th. She took home the trophy in 1970. When she competed in her first international contest in 1972, which was a pre Olympic junior meet for the communist-bloc countries she won three gold medals as well as in 1973 and 1974 she won the all-around junior championship. When she competed for the first time with a senior team in 1975 she beat the Russian Lyudmila Turishcheva the five-time European champion winning four gold and one silver. In 1976, she took home the American Cup at the New York City Olympic Games. She also was the first female in history to dismount the parallel bars and to use a double backward salto. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her path into the entertainment business started in her teen years when she began doing figure skating with her younger sibling Nina Wayne as part of the show that travels named Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was born on the 6th of September 1942 at Chicago Illinois US. Carol first began her acting career during her teenage years. When she was a young girl Carol started out as a figure skater in traveling shows Ice Capades with her sister Nina Wayne. They featured ice-skating shows that were performed accompanied by musical theatre.
