Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
My baby crawled around in the playpen as I was working 12-hour shifts in sanding floors and taking down the wallpaper. Ha! The whole thing was beginning to form, but it wasn't quite finished. It would take an enormous amount of effort and shopping my favorite furnishings for this house. To keep in the realm of budgets, I took to by taking my sons to estate sales in search of diamonds. We had a weekly schedule that consisted of spending the week of Thursday to Saturday scouring sale houses and garages, buying old and new objects. I spent the rest of the week painting and sanding on the driveway. Furniture looked this way... and that's where I found my love to restore. No matter what, the house was already furnished. I rented a booth in the market at my local location and also sold items there. Eventually I had more pieces that I knew what to do with and outgrew the area. My home became a place where I would host open houses, where up to 1,000 people could view the items on the first floor, and then purchase these items. It was here that my business Growing Days was born. Apart from my successful business, I also grew our family. There was a perfect balance between starting a business and being a mother. Growing Days was the obvious choice. Nora was born in 2013 as our 4th baby. The direction of my business was excellent, however I needed to rest for a while. I made the decision to take some time off from my vintage furniture and remain at home with the kids. That was exactly what I needed at the time. However after a few months after that, the phone began to ring. I started receiving requests from people requesting for help in home improvement as well as interior design. Many of the people calling me were from those who visited my home at one of the furniture open house events. The time flew by before I had a fully-fledged house renovation business. The first step was to take clients on one with a speed I could be at ease with. It would have probably made me laugh if I had told you that this was going to be the subject of an DIY Network tv series. In the present, as I reflect on the situation I am laughing.
